Denpasar, 12 February 2026 — The Bali Convention & Exhibition Bureau (BaliCEB) participated in the Asia Pacific Incentives and Meetings Event (AIME) Melbourne, held on 9–11 February 2026, as a strategic initiative to strengthen Bali’s position as a leading Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) destination in the Asia-Pacific region.

This participation was leveraged to showcase Bali’s readiness to support international business events, highlighting world-class meeting venues and convention centers, premium hotel accommodations, professional audio-visual services, and integrated transportation. Furthermore, BaliCEB emphasized the island's entertainment and authentic cultural experiences as key destination differentiators.

BaliCEB’s presence served as a momentum to expand networks and build strategic relationships with international event planners, Professional Conference Organizers (PCOs), incentive houses, and corporate buyers. Through business matching and networking sessions, BaliCEB presented Bali’s competitive advantages—including robust infrastructure readiness, air connectivity, destination safety standards, and rich cultural assets—that add significant value to the delivery of global events.

"The strong enthusiasm from corporate meeting and incentive travel organizers from Australia, Singapore, China, India, Malaysia, and Thailand reflects a positive trend, with Bali consistently listed among their clients’ priority destinations. Information on international conference and exhibition regulations—ranging from permits, visa requirements, to the ease of delegate arrival services at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport—was highlighted as a critical factor in strengthening confidence in Bali."

The positive impact of this participation extends to BaliCEB members and stakeholders, comprising convention centers, hotels, restaurants, gathering venues, beach clubs, transportation companies, attraction providers, and catering services. Through integrated promotion and co-branding efforts, members gained direct access to international markets via a curated business platform. This cross-sector synergy is expected to drive sustainable growth of the MICE-based tourism economy, increase utilization of local services, and create employment opportunities in Bali.

BaliCEB’s participation also received significant support from representatives of the Indonesian government in Australia. The Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Melbourne, Jatmiko H. Prasetyo, accompanied by Titus Haridjati representing the Deputy for MICE at the Ministry of Tourism of the Republic of Indonesia, conveyed their appreciation during a visit to the Wonderful Indonesia Pavilion. This support reflects the strong synergy between industry stakeholders and Indonesian diplomatic representatives in enhancing national destination promotion and strengthening Bali’s competitiveness as a premier destination for global MICE events.
